I agree with @OgrpUtU-6hvm. Taking care of my family comes first. But once I get an external job, one of my last acts will be to report the integrity violations I am aware of, along with enough information for them to hang those responsible out to dry. If they will. At that point, it won't be my concern anymore...

My experience with GE's Ombuds system is high level executives do inquire with relevant managers. The relevant managers do try to identify the complainer off the record. If the guilty groups are well connected and are associated with the executives, you will not win. I am looking for external employment on my time table to escape the corruption. So in other words, the spirit of integrity IS null and void if leaders do not abide by its basic doctrine.

I suspect such system is similar to the Ombuds system is mainly for the management to act against alleged violations. Unfortunately, there can be pitfalls : the accused will not face the accuser, no presumption of innocence, no uniform guides for disciplinary actions but at management's discretion. The secrecy can cause abuses for vindictive purposes - no transparency. There might have been persons injured unfairly.

Speaking of integrity... does that mean the spirit and letter is deemed null and void now given layoffs across GE or did you elect not to sign it? Either way, both are concerning as an organization... Read about about Ombuds notification and chilling effects...

If there are Integrity violations against your colleagues and people "in the know" aren't saying anything , what does that say about them as a person?

@OgrpUtU-5eji -- You are very correct. I personally know severe integrity violations that my management and senior (well connected) coworkers are involved in but it would be the end of my career if I reported.

I wouldn't even trust the claimed anonymity of the integrity concern reporting process. That's probably why a lot of problems go unreported, too.

DO NOT TRUST GE with anything that is claimed to be anonymous. This includes internal surveys or communications.

My thoughts as well. Until I get a layoff notice, I won't take this kind of risk.

No thanks, too risky. I'm not sure they won't just deliver that e-mail address to GE if they threaten them with a sue or they get subpoena.
