I am so sick of the posters on this website to continue to insult the memory of D--k Cabela and those who said he was off base in saying that your treat your customer and your employees right and the rest in regard to ownership will fall into place.
I think Di-k Cabela also had the knowledge of what a dollar bill was in regard to spending. This bs I hear everything is done to maximize profits is the only thing which matters. Yes expand and spend without no end in site is a great policy when things are going good. However when things go the other way the big spend and expand is in big trouble.
I wonder what the policy by top management would be if the executives were to get millions if the merger didn't go thru and millions if Cabela's stayed in business.
SOME HOW I HAVE FEELING THE MERGER THEN WOULD NOT BE IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE STOCKHOLDERS.
