WHERE DID NOBLE GO WRONG???

I have worked for Noble for almost 10 years and here is the way I see things. When Noble mostly comprised of old Samedan employees, we got the job done safely, under budget and successfully. We had no requirements for useless a I.T. organization with so many employees doing nothing but blocking what people need. We had no use for a huge H.R. department that is more concerned with creating useless posters (digital and otherwise) telling us to bowl, give blood or to be rewarded if we find a s---er to work here at Noble than doing a real jib or progressii n plans etc.

People used to be employed for their knowledge, work ethic and drive to make the company better. Now it seems people are more concerned with building their little kingdoms of s--- asses so they can gain power and hire more s--- asses.

Why is it that Noble now does not even feel like an oil and gas company?

Because people have forgotten the people like me that work in the field and facilitate the revenue.

I am embarrassed about ranting and saddened that all of us out here feel like we are treated like a smelly old shoe.

Go to Urban Dictionary and read the definition of S**t Weasel. It describes Noble Management perfectly.

They screwed up when they shut down Ardmore and moved it all to Houston. Actually it was bad when they moved corporate to Houston.

Describing this management team as a bunch of weasels is too flattering, it's also demeaning to weasels. Weasels are cute and furry, they're also quite intelligent animals unlike Noble management. Comparison to c---roaches is a more fitting description: fast breeding, defile their environment, scurry for cover to avoid scrutiny and extremely difficult to get rid of. The solution? A good soaking with corporate RAIDers!

DS is weasel but the executive suite at Noble is full of weasels. He is head weasel of an entire team of weasels.

Where did Noble go wrong???? Putting DS in charge. Plain and simple, he's a joke in this industry!

It was the changing of the guard. James' retirement was the bellwether event. After that, anyone that had ever had an @samedan.com or @nobleaff.com email address seemed to either go out the door or be moved out of the way. Loyalty seemed to disappear at the same rate. The new Noble adopted the fungible employee/force ranking philosophy. It seemed like most of the rest of those I knew covered under the old pension plan were relieved of the burden on NBL employment during the 04/15 RIF and the Ardmore shutdown. Current management appears to be achieving the fruits of their decisions.

I know Noble was a great Oklahoma based Oil company. IMO the mistake made was acquiring Patina and all the baggage that came with it. A good company was introduced to the wild west way of conducting business.

Noble is a company for management by management. How many managers have lost their job during this downturn? The answer is none. Yet these are the very people who have run this company into the curb. Yes there are more "s--- asses" at this company than all of the other place I've worked combined. It's truly amazing. It's why Noble is performing do poorly. Noble laid/off most anyone who could question strategy or execution. The rest left on their own and got new jobs. In my 30 years Noble is by far the worst run company I've benn a part of. There is no hope for Noble. It's over.

Noble is a joke. Anyone with real talent can and has found employment elsewhere. Believing one had an actual future with the company is sadly mistaken. If you are still at Noble it's time to take a look in the mirror and really question yourself.
