Thread regarding Sears layoffs

High views. High Replies. I have never seen our forum as busy as it is now.

It's obviously a sad state of affairs as folk are clearly looking for information. If a small piece of stability could be offered the impact on morale and productivity would be felt, isn't that what you want SHC? But no, daily we wait to be fired seeking information here to when that might be, a deflated workforce that waits to be fired does not bring you a transformation, a deflated workforce guarantees bankruptcy. Keep the views and replies coming, it keeps us all informed

At present, 14 million shares of SHLD stock have been short sold which is about 70% of all available stock to the public. Short sellers stand to make a great deal of profit if Sears Holdings files for bankruptcy, however, they stand to lose much if the business improves and also because they must pay large stock borrowing fees over time. These people don't care about large scale job loss, or people not receiving pension payments. Traders go thru these threads with a fine tooth comb regularly; look no further than how many views certain posts get. They may post here hoping to influence public opinion for profit due to the anonymous format as well. Sears Holdings workers, perhaps try your best to create a large communications network among yourselves, as the 'information' posted here becomes more unreliable as activity spikes...

Guys look at the Layoff for Lowes which we all think is a great company....they are saying many of the same things. Each company has a post like this. In todays world unfortunately most, not all, companies dont really seem to care about their associates....so associates are forced to read these pists.

There was a time where 1000 views or 20+ replies to a post was rare, it's now daily. Shows how much people are looking for info/answers to what's going on...inevitable when layoffs occur weekly

I do not currently and have never worked for Sears, but I have been watching this thread because it makes me feel terrible for the employees begging for answers as the company they work for is blatantly falling apart due to mismanagement and incompetence while remaining silent.

I only wish for as many of you as possible to be laid off to receive severance packages and have backup plans in place. Do not trust Sears to recover, their public financial records show a company on its knees about to die. Create backup plans, now.
