Dumping experienced workers for cheaper and younger ones

I cannot understand how employees with many years of service with company would be let go, and then replaced a couple months later with inexperienced person. My history was one of dedication, hardwork, and great reviews. How is this possible? I would have agreed to less pay, but was not even offered opportunity to keep my job.

I am so sorry about what happened to you, @H7IofSn-75oel. Unfortunately, more and more hardworking and experienced people are getting s*d over by Schlumberger, all in the name of profit. There is no other explanation for it but simple greed. No matter how good any of us are, nobody is safe. You don't need to be good, just cheap, so it looks good on paper, who cares about how it translates to practice.

Evolution of SLB. Would be funny if Saudi Aramco decided to hold off on IPO to buy SLB. Really all they want is the data and foothold into Shell gas tech. Haliburton is hiring field hands but unfortunately SLB trained micro managers are not their forte.

You have been in slb and you know in slb it is about who you are not who you were before.

The minute the year finishes, plan start for new financial year.

You make 10million this year, next year it is forgotten or if not forgotten it wont count.

This is the way PTE are considered in company. But of course measurements are different for management.
