Mass layoffs today. Director levels on down. My ax finally fell today. Good riddance to this deplorable company. If you still have a job, it's just a matter of time.

I honestly can see HE being cut fully. Our electronics department looks like a complete joke. I don't even know how you can sell anything their its so small and tiny their isnt a lot they sell. Matresses being next door would probably take over HE its going to be even more chaos. That is what is probably next or one of my managers will get cut.

At HE I was emailed about layoffs within HA. Directors and Managers for selling services. Rumor is they will have positions that will oversee Hardlines--HA and Mattress
There were two VPs at HE in my past that were instrumental in helping me form my exit strategy .
I cannot thank them enough for
what they did for me , and helping me
to exit the company at the right time .
They also left winners.

I'm sorry to read about your situation. Not to take away from it but it seemed to me that layoffs took place mainly on Thursdays.
There have been so many, I can't keep track.
@tli Are there in fact layoffs happening today at HE? Typically they have done the 1pm 'book a bunch of conference rooms with no meeting description' method of getting people all at the same time. If there are layoffs happening, please update once you know for sure.
I also agree sorry it happened, but I also hope my cut is soon it will force me to start over but it will be better in the long run, anyone who is left at the end will get nothing to show for their time at sears.... so in conclusion take your severance and enjoy while we who are left or leave on our own will get nothing... good luck to all !

I'm assuming that you were in Hoffman as I heard that there were layoffs there today.
Define ... how far down are the cuts , are we talking thru out the company, are the cuts going down as far as the market leaders
