Layoffs are coming again in October. Confirmed by numerous inside the company. Also, just announced internally last week, leaders in their World Wide Sales and Americas sales are "retiring".

Any time you add in Jesse Cohens name to the mix you can expect layoffs. He is notorious for looking at people as expendable headcount if he can make a few million dollars more a year.

I'm a manager, I haven't heard anything and nobody that I know has. These type of things are decided many levels above those that can run between offices. This in my opinion is a new CEO introducing himself to his company as soon as possible. Anything else is just trolling on fear.

There must be a reason why Citrix never makes it into those lists...

Asked my manager... Says their are told something but also asked not to share before GEM or following communication from "leadership team"...

Bangalore here, the atmosphere is getting heavy

I'm expecting almost nothing from today's GEM. Last layoff was sort of silence since emails from VPs started to arrive... Low and middle management faking not to know till the very end "We don't know names...".

That was a clear symptom of what Citrix would have become soon after: transparency down to zero and Respect as a core value kept more to remain politically correct than for anything else...

Facebook, Google and all those names that come out in "Best places to work in" lists have all in common higher respect for employees and more involvement of the same in decision making...

Here the board works for shareholders only and managers are always ready to step on their reports' lives/careers to progress their own careers... #citrixlife :(

This company used to be different (and better) 5 years ago or so...

...now the rest of the industry lives in the third millennium and we are still in the '80s

"The Board has also formed an Operations and Capital Committee that will work with Citrix’s management team and advise the Citrix Board on a comprehensive review of opportunities to drive margin expansion and return capital to shareholders. The Committee will be led by Citrix Executive Chairman, Robert Calderoni, joined by Citrix President and CEO, David Henshall, and Citrix Directors, Jesse Cohn and Peter J. Sacripanti."

"Operations and Capital Committee"? "margin expansion"? Do these sound sinister to y'all?

Chalfont is the biggest site in EMEA by headcount by some margin

This has bad news written all over it. Chalfont has already been shrunk back with sales and HR going. It only has a small amount of engineering left so I wouldn't be feeling very safe if I was there. Cambridge has more chance as most of the engineering seems to be there and with xenserver it has a much bigger footprint.

We have an all hands tomorrow (EMEA) at short notice from David which dosen't bode well - if it was just "Hi Im the new CEO and these are my priorities" it could wait a week

I am guessing this board is about to light up again... It's been quiet for a few months now.
