Its not that any predictions are wrong for a certain date. If we could predict the exact date or even month we should be financial inverstors and make millions. The overall thought is that SHC is going down and they will file BK. When that is, who knows. But for those who depend on SHC to pay bills, send kids to college or just survive it is imperative that they understand that this company cannot and will not survive in the future.
The point being that you cannot depend on this to be a long term job, that at any moment of any day, your job can be eliminated or your hours cut, or your position go from full time with benefits to part time with no benefits. My concern is all those who think that SHC is really trying to "transform" and that every crazy, irrational, disconnected from reality, decision that is made will somehow give you a job that is secure and long term. You cannot rely on SHC to survive in the long or even short term and if you have a better alternative to take, then you need to take it sooner than later
Guys. Everyone is just nervous and that is understandable. But remember we don't have a clue at any "master" plans that might be in the works...good or bad. Honestly just keep working along (totally your call as everyone has free will to move on and find another job).....try not to keep "obsessing" so much over every little move/news article. It just makes you sick in the end.

While I completely agree with the statement below, there's a chance this time might be different considering they've admitted defeat. That and the the fact that the shelves are basically empty now. They weren't like that in the years prior. No product, no profit. I went back to my old job recently and it's insane how much fluffing they've done to cover up space that was once dense with product.
But yeah. Bankruptcy was supposed to be yesterday according to all those people playing financial advisors..and it was supposed to be in February before that...and November before that. Now, it's gonna happen in September apparently. Eventually they'll get it right if they keep guessing because it's bound to happen eventually...
I can't wait for the "I told you so." People to pop their head out even though this is probably their 12th guess..

Receiving leads were supposed to be gone last week... what happened to that ??

I doubt that anything significant will happen, although I wouldn't be surprised if they do declare bankruptcy. Eddie did take out another 500 million dollar loan which I think is to fund their holiday season. Well they should just fold already.
