Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Lateral move

I was part of the restructuring and the other day I did an interview and was told I the job would pay this amount and I asked why it's such a big cut I was told I was going from being a specialist to being a CSA.i haven't been a specialist since January I told them I'm a CSA now so would this not be considered a lateral move? I was told no,but my title as of now is CSA5 not specialist.

Well you can tell your side of the CSA5 to perm position story and tell the world about it via the anon site retailconfessions dottt comm. Check it out and tell your stories. It's like connections but you don't have to say who you are and can tell the truth.

I am guessing you were an OPE Specialist.. Yes you are stepping down to a different pay grade. Now if your store manager cared he would not make it a big drop. He has the ability to pay more then what the pay rate adviser says. I was told I have a better chance at keeping my pay if I step down to Specialist then if I go part time. All this is part of Niblock and his Cronies to get their bonuses and move the stock. They did this restructure to make the stock go up. Problem is employees fought back. We refused to go quietly. I am milking them for everything they have and using the system to the fullest before I end up going part time and leaving..

The less they pay you the more there is for the executives. Your skills and talents are probably worth more outside of Lowes.

I wonder if this is what they've been telling everyone " well you were a manager and now you're stepping down to a CSA so you will get a big pay cut and just have to eat it or leave" but technically you are a CSA5 so the pay cut should be little to none.
