The latest layoff rumor. Major Layoffs are planned for October. The rumor is 10% of the work force mostly from US. With 7 consecutive quarters of declining revenue it's the only way to make Wall Street expectations. Plus Cisco knows that Wall Street has a lower expectation right now so Cisco Executives are taking advantage of big changes aka layoffs.

This is my prediction: Cisco will not be doing massive layoff at one, instead will do quarter by quarter for 1-2 years period, of course Cisco will look to right time for it. after 2 years if counted back , total of layoff number is big. I guess Cisco had total number of employee need to be cut base on financial/business conditions, since Cisco business already changed , no more in engineering, so you can guess what is current (new) Cisco business model.
