I suspect this is true. Citrix had instituted a hiring freeze at the end of last year for all non-quota carrying sales people, which seems to have continued based on the dearth of advertised open positions. I have also noticed that the company is failing to replace outgoing employees in essential departments instead trying to have fewer people doing the same amount of work. Director level team leaders trying to replenish their headcounts after someone leaves the sinking ship are finding it virtually impossible to obtain approvals.
Citrix lost its ability to innovate and grow the business long ago. The current “leadership” is comprised of people more adept at financial engineering and chicanery than entrepreneurs and innovators. Haneshall is even more useless than his predecessor was. Despite all the hoopla at the GEMs, VMWare and the competition are crushing Citrix. It is a pity to witness the destruction of a once successful company at the hands of vultures.
