It already started in France. Negociation with works council planned on 6th of September to layoff between 100 and 259 SPS people (MpTC, Pau, La Défense...) out of 300+. Will last 3 months so it would match with December.

This sounds many for eu/af. Given that they cannot layoff people on France by Dec if they start now: process takes 6 months there (seriously)

Update:

majority of these layoffs have been planned for December.

Arround 90 offices worldwide will close down and rest will be consolidated.

check your contract if your office location is not mentioned you would probably be relocated at your own cost or you will quit!

These was discussed few days ago outside slb office with major management companies.

Actually, it makes sense, based on how bad SLB's financial health is.

Regardless of new layoffs, I guess our executives will have more pay raise next year.
