@OPbvrAI-3ulr - We had our greeter start handing out the credit apps to everyone who walked in. Told them to fill em out and turn em in at checkout for a free "prize. " and told them they would be entered into a contest for $10k in SYWR each week. Worked wonders for our numbers.
For the prize we gave everyone the free Friday stuff from or other clearance items, best. idea. ever.
Not sure which DM was let go, but our store shifted to a different district as a result.
The only thing Joe does is send out 'quote of the day' emails to 'inspire' us and then sends out nasty notes about Sears Credit Cards. If aren't making sales, how the hell are we going to get Sears cards?

What region was the DMs territory? Curious...
No idea yet, but I can only hope. It seems that the job of most of the DMs now is to provide pointless busy work to degrade employees' ability to do actual work while making the most irrational decisions possible. (No displayers, no midway quads, no endcaps, etc.)
