Thread regarding Kmart layoffs

Alasdair James as a CEO, FAILED

Why would you keep this man as CEO of Kmart and Sears when everything was falling apart..

It seems to me that he REALLY doesn't give a damn about the company, especially with the losses.

He REALLY doesn't know what to do, this is NOT a leader, this is a man who is just their to collect a paycheck and the bonus..

Kmart , along with Sears has been around since I was young, and I know the right person could turn them around, Obviously it wasn't Alasdair.. what a joke and a piece of sh-- is really pathetic...

And I am sure he doesn't even feel bad about what is happening, he still get's his paycheck, while others are out of a job. People like Alasdair are Sh-- and need to be taken out of the CEO field and put back into the working class to re-learn about what it is to make a living...If that is even possible... or just thrown in jail for failure to do ANYTHING but collect the paycheck.

I am VERY surprised to see that anyone would hire someone who couldn't do something with a company that has been around for years, and you think he is going to do something special for your company, YEAH, run it into the ground and move on...

VERY disappointing, stupid move..

Kmart/Sears needs someone who can advertise and build the company/ try some change like other companies have done and succeeded, not just there to collect the paycheck..

come on, there are smart people out there with ethics, and the ambition to make the companies succeed.

Even if he did a good job, as long as Eddie is the CEO of Sears, this company will fail.

He was the president & chief member officer for KMart from July 2014 thru April 2017. He is now president & CEO of Pier One.

He wasn't CEO of Kmart/sears FYI. He ran Kmart and actually did a decent job compared to others. You can only do so much when you are given an extremely limited amount of resources to work with from Eddy. Personally I think the remodeled store in Des Plains looks amazing. He was actually responsible for a lot of new programs and the attempt to refresh the culture. Oh well, I'm sure I will get hell for this comment.
