Scary statistics-100% of managers laid off from COP cannot find work elsewhere

Although other companies are also not hiring for Useless workforce, it appears that it is widely known managers from COP are all low-performers and not hiring quality for most other companies.

Plus they spend far too much time doing politics rather than training themselves to be better and promote their teams.

I EOIed out on round 2, and my manager came to the same company as me, only different department. Lasted a whole 13 months....

It is sad that this companies reputation has gotten so bad that other companies won't hire any of their folks that were laid off.

The manager just found out he is being replaced by a 3 year engineer that is a trans-gender so that RL and the ELT will look good!

I don't often comment on here but this post is 100% dead on. One of the reasons these guys cling to their "kingdoms" so hard and prevent change is because they are not qualified to actually do work in today's oil field. Disagree? Name one manager or VP who was "poached" by another E&P company. I can't. If they get laid off they will likely never work in the oilfield again.

On the other hand, many of the lower level people that were laid off moved up so fast elsewhere that they have actually advised the managers who laid them off on $1B A&D. The irony of this place.....just crazy every day.

Plenty of work...almost everyone could work until they are 75 or older.... but most would rather stroke out at home.....sad but true

True. We do not even interview managers or senior COP staff if they were laid off after October, 2015 (2nd Round).
