Thread regarding Advance Auto Parts Inc. layoffs

Big Bang

Get ready for the stock earnings report coming out next week. It should send a Big Bang throughout

the company. With a 38 million dollar loss in operation capital the stores are being cut to skeleton crews which will do nothing but cause a loss of more commercial customers and profit dollars.

So what will the companies answer be ? More job cuts! It's a vicious cycle and not a sign of strong management!

Seems Mr. Bubble knows all the answers, so maybe he can elaborate on why he feels everyone no matter what will lose their jobs. Come on Expert Mr. Bubble ,unless you simply like troll other peoples comments and insult them.

Way off beat.... that's why companies like O'Reilly and some ecommerce sellers post sales increases over prior year. I agree a slow down in new car sales is not a bad thing for the aftermarket. Increase in new car sales is, you should get it straight and double check where you are posting. Auto sales bubble and low interest rates...lol. Maybe on the OEM side with car sales, not aftermarket Parts. You want the average age of the vehicle to go up and it doesn't when too many new cars are bought...reverse that "pop your bubble" and the avg age goes up and more older cars need parts. It's not rocket science...

Is that why sales and profits are falling off a cliff? Doh!

Maybe check the facts and see how your opinion lines up with them before spouting off next time, k sport?

"Lower new car sales means people hold onto their cars and get them serviced. That's a good thing for aftermarket parts companies like this."

This same poster keeps harping on the auto sales bubble in multiple topics. Please stop. Lower new car sales means people hold onto their cars and get them serviced. That's a good thing for aftermarket parts companies like this.

Management knows this is the biggest auto bubble in history. Car sales fueled by nothing but ultra low interest rates and the loosest credit...ever.

They're just riding it up, now riding it down. They know how this ends. Nothing to do with "bad decisions."

It's the employees who are as stupid as a post for buying into this bubble like it was real or sustainable.

You'll all lose your job sooner or later, thats how big and bad this bubble is.
