The sad fact is that most people working at the store level are there because they can't find anything else. That says all you need to know about the economy, the country, and Lowe's. Lowe's uses this misfortune to exploit workers and will never stop doing this...terrible company.

We lose our delivery drivers this Friday. The next thing that corporate feels is unnecessary is the quick load area for our contractors. That and other cuts/changes are supposed to place by September 10th. All these cuts really makes you wonder is it all in the name of better customer service or just make nibcock richer.
CORRUPT STORE MANAGERS, THEY LIE AND PAY PEOEPLE THAT S--- THE MOST, CAN'T WAIT TO FILE SUIT AGAINST THESE F---S AND SETTLE OUT OF COURT.
They only care about employees to the extent that we make them money, they laugh all the way to the bank on our backs and hard work. We lose an average of one employee a week, not counting the seasonal help.
True enough. A terrible business. Morale is so bad at my store that people just go through the motions until their shift is over. I bet turnover at my store was 50% last year...no one is fooled by all the BS corporate uses to try and make you think they care about employees and that you're part of something bigger.
True and given that there is no longer a defined career path (PT -> FT -> DM -> ASM -> SM) it's only going to get worse. At my store morale is at an all time low with many just going through the motions until they leave at the end of their shift.
Very true facts
