Building remodeling?

Anybody know why Cisco spent millions on remodeling the buildings yet forgot to remodel the restrooms?

Why not open-air composting toilets?

Just let the common area landscaping between buildings overgrow for some privacy, or just go with eco-friendly old-fashioned outhouses.

The fact that somebody believes that Chamberpod was a real post tells me Cisco still has another bottom 5-10% to cut.

It took 3 years of gathering data for a bathroom stall? It would take me 3 seconds to fire you! WPR are the biggest scammers when it hits the fan they are no where to be found and never liable for anything. I see cracked ceilings, loose everything, constant outages and water leaks but you walk in their building and they have new everything. I swear the show "the office" was about WPR. They are the poster children for a disfunctional department.

Team, I'm with workplace resources and I was told about this thread so I thought I would jump in here to dispel some myths/rumours on the bathroom remodels. The good news is that we have a solution that we are getting ready to launch!

We have spent over three years gathering data on bathroom usage and volume In various engineering, services, and support buildings throughout San Jose. We determined that the cost and ROI to maintain and remodel was not justified based on the calculated revenue production per person utilizing those facilities in those buildings (taking into consideration further redundancies, etc.).

Fear not. In sticking with our mission of developing next GEN facilities for how we live work and play we got a solution we think you will love!!!

In Q1, we are going to be rolling out ChamberPODs In buildings I, J, and 22 in SJ. By the way, special shout out to our diversity in the workplace team for coming up with the branding..... A clever play on chamber pot!).

These innovative, self sustaining and certified Green comfort centers are like your own personal washroom on wheels. Think of them as Uber for washrooms and they will come in nice bright colours. These are self driving and controlled from the cloud via ChamberPOD apps which will be available for download soon. Each floor will have its own cluster of PODs always in motion. Should you feel the need to eliminate waste, simply open the app and schedule a pick up. ChamberPOD will sense your location and come to you preconfigured according to your preferences.

Once you have registered your app you have the option to personalize your Settings. For example, you can configure ethnicity type, gender identification (The first release of the software supports up to four genders with more coming as well as Hipster and Vegan modes in future releases), height and weight. The app comEd pre-integrated with Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram should you need to provide status updates. Spark support in Q3.

You'll be happy to know that each POD is audio visual equipped supporting all of our Collaboration tools. One cool feature I love is the walk-in music preference feature. I can customize the pod to play either smooth jazz ,gangster rap, death metal, spa- or whatever, upon opening the door!

Suffice it to say we are proud of our innovation. ChamberPODs are feature rich and will transform the user experience as we know it. Once the pods are deployed we will be transforming the old bathrooms into Scrum Dens. More on that innovation later.

Cheers!

Also add side steps on each side of the rim of the toilets to prevent injuries when squatting and higher hand rails to support the squatter's balance.

They need to install larger sinks. I'm visiting SJ and am stuck in building J (dreadful place) and watched a guy wash his head and arms in the sink.

It is obvious that the executives who pushed the remodeling grew up without a toilet at home. Yet they are eager to demonstrate changes they can make for Cisco. Now everyone gets a problem. It is the same reason that Cisco product quality is sh*t. Expect more LR's. A simple conclusion is that both the CEO and the newly promoted EVP can easily be deceived.

It's insult that our buildings in the old part of cisco San Jose campus do not have modern washroom. Even the cafeteria is old and rundown looks like bad hotel lobby with bad foods. Cisco washroomns here are worse than in my country. I only go when I need check in code load.

When I started at Cisco, I knew right away the culture was an empty shell when in the privacy of the bathroom people left filth behind, urine on the toilet seat, comic section on the restroom floor, while in public everyone made a point to be PC, if not passive aggressive. Integrity is how you behave while in the privacy of the john

So on a site dedicated to Layoffs you are moaning about toilets...give me strength. No wonder Cisco is in trouble with employees like you. A toilet is a toilet. You go there..drop a log and come out. Who cares really. Get your priorities sorted.

Go set up a site dedicated to toilets or something.

We work hard but they do not upgrade our building like ones closer to build 10. In the old letter buildings it smells bad and cannot remove shoe prints from toilet seats.

In '16, in RTP, Cisco remodeled a portion of the 3rd floor as a pilot space for teams to choose what worked for them before remodeling their new work areas. Each conf room had different furniture, there were several styles of desks, etc. They remodeled the break room and the bathroom. Every where BUT the bathroom got a full remodel from the concrete floor up. New ceiling tiles, new paint, removed the carpet, everything. But the bathrooms, all they got was a new counter top and new sinks. That are too small. You can't wash your hands in/over the sink without the water coming on, so the countertops are covered with soap & water all the time. The floor, completely nasty. We ended up complaining to WPR and they closed the bathroom for a day (or two) to strip the wax, clean the grout, and re-wax the floor. But it was still pretty bad.

Not sure why they did so much and completely missed the obvious.

It's a bad omen to remodel toilets. Here in BGL people use the bushes to avoid ghosts.

You might want to narrow that comment down to at least a continent. Last I heard the internet was global.
