They are not giving us other jobs, we have to reapply, as if, we were new employees. And most of the jobs are part time sales, in store. So if you were making $18 hr fixing computers, you have to apply, if accepted, go through an interview for $9 hr sales job.
So much this, @Ox2SBuX-4iwt! The whole thing is just a PR stunt, so they don't come off looking like a heartless corporation they are. It's infuriating! So many years with Best Buy, and to get treated like this...
Yeah, and all the covert jobs went overseas. So, now clients are unable to get their computers fixed the first four times they connect. Way to take something it took agents years to build and tear it down in a few months.
Corporate came in tonight and announced the Wentzville, MO store is closing (but don't tell the customers or they won't buy the extended warranty). They say the rent is increased and tired of fighting with the landlords! This location has beaten sales from last year repeatedly, in fact the second best in MO. Although some were issued severance package they better read the fine print because it basically gives BB the right to fire and terminate the package for reason. And don't think they won't do it!
