I was at Sears today in Michigan and noticed many large snow blowers featured on the floor of their hardware area. I also noticed about 8 large boxes for humidifiers that could cover up to 2900 square feet of space next to the dehumidifiers. I know of no other retailer in the area that has snow blowers and humidifiers prominently displayed in JULY... I made a comment about how odd it was to see lots of large snowblowers in July to someone who looked to be in management, and her response was that they were trying to encourage people to put them on layaway. I should have taken a few pictures. My question is this:. Is this normal behavior/practice at your store?

Good for you! Have to inject a little bit of humor into these posts from time to time.
I work at a sears store in michigan we do not have blowers on the floor ... but yes we sold one yesterday ... and we are not a liquidation store YET it's early in the day lol
Michigan is expecting a "REAL" major b;izzard in coming weeks followed by the dry desert winds - just check the Old Farmers Almanac
Not at our store only what's in season is displayed.
