I know Southeast & Northeast managers had the meeting today.....did the other regions have the meeting as well? So far, mum is the word from all those that attended. Hard to believe no one is talking even on an anonymous message board.

You have to respect the store managers. It isn't their "job" to gossip. They have a lot of stress right now, and I get that some of you like your store managers and some of you don't like your store managers, but at least respect that most of them can't gossip unless they are leaving the company. Most of our store managers, at least the ones I have worked with and seen at Sears, are working hard. Yes, I acknowledge there may be some who don't realize that their job today is everything from ringing registers to stock room help etc, but that is because when their stores were larger stores, they had more people to help out with everything. In the world today, where the volumes of most stores are much smaller, their job is floor coverage.
I went today. I must say, cuts are coming and just be prepared. APM's are safe and everyone else just save your paycheck
