Thread regarding Advance Auto Parts Inc. layoffs

I agree with all of the points here. Especially that there is no vision for the company. It's like they throw darts at a dartboard while being blindfolded and they try that direction for a month. When that fails they throw another dart, and so on, and so on.

I remember the premium hike all too well. I also remember the annual "increases" we received which didn't even come close to matching what the insurance increased. To pay that much for a company that size is embarrassing. Did anyone shop around for quotes or did they get sent on a cruise if the company used that expenseive plan?

How about when they raised everyone's premiums, but lowered those for the big shots at the same time and then had the nerve to say it was because of Obama Care. They must think we are really stupid as that was at least 18 months before Obama Care took effect. Yet another fine idea from the current head of legal when she ran HR. Oh yeah, rumor had it she was doing analysis to convert the majority of team members to part time to avoid AAP's obligations under the new law.

You're so right, all the Fat Cats like TG are still around with their bug salaries. How many store hours could you add if you just cut his pay in half. There is no vision for this company and Auto Parts are not potato chips, you just stick those on the shelf and they sell themselves, auto parts need people to sell.
