"Kmart did not even tell the people they were closing the pharmacy and we were not allowed to tell them when they came in to get their prescription."

That's messed up, I sure as hell would have told them that the Pharmacy was closing.

closed out pharmacy last year and sales plummeted. Not only lost the money from the pharmacy sales but also lost all the customers who would shop here when they were getting their prescription.

Sales down 35% YTD. Kmart did not even tell the people they were closing the pharmacy and we were not allowed to tell them when they came in to get their prescription. MOst people found out when they came in and the pharmacy was empty. I think CVS bought the prescriptions. The CVS around here is 20 miles down the road.

My only reasoning on closing the pharmacies is the price of drugs and that it isn't cheap to pay a pharmacist!!! With their financial status, I can sort of see why!

Lost our store, the store where I used to live and both stores where my kids are in college , all in one fell swoop.

Sad.

This is getting to be old news. Just close them all already.

My old store in Toledo (Alexis Road) was announced to close. Worked there a few years ago, and work at another Kmart as a second-job... Went on OWB to see how sales were, and they were a disaster... I know the pharmacy closed, which was stupid... Lots of walkers from a nearby senior community. One time we had 2 FT pharmacists, a PT pharmacist, intern, technician, and dedicated cashier!

sad. wondering how my current store is hanging on...
