Was severed earlier this year by a Calgary HR person. They did not understand the basic terms of the severance and had to be corrected by other staff. They were negative, argumentative and of no help whatsoever to the whole process. Seriously, if you are in HR and don't understand the terms of the severance letter you supposedly help draft, then good luck in your next job!

To the previous poster regarding Calgary HR you must be joking... Calgary HR is totally absent they are barely even in the office and when they are in the office they are of no use
CGG is a big company and they have many offices around the globe. If the HR staffs in one of these offices are rude to the employees it is unfair to generalize it to others. I worked with CGG in downtown Calgary until few months ago and I would like to say that the HR staffs including their manager were excellent, very friendly and they were always very helpful. Personally, I am very thankful to them and I wish them all the best.
Time to move on
