Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Laid off Sears workers get no severance pay

I find the sneaky way this was done most upsetting. Not to mention the lies about providing timely information to those affected by cuts about their severance pay.

Most of my co workers realize severence is a pipe dream that is why most have or are in the process of getting new jobs. It has to be only a matter of time before thet go after the full timers

Eddie is no different the a common criminal... he is just finding loop holes to steal from the employees that have kept the stores running and brining in the cash that man is lining his pockets with ... truly sad ... I hope the supreme court passes the law that we get our money before he does if the company files for bankruptcy

It is an awful experience just in general. That is why it is upsetting when associates that have been at the company for a long time in the US say they wish Sears would go bankrupt already are so off in saying this. They probably wont get anything for severance pay as the others who have already been laid off this year probably wouldnt either. It wont benefit anyone.
