How soon do employees expect a layoff?

Quickly and it will be massive. Been in the works
The 12th would be my guess. Cabelas will do the first round of cuts so BP doesn't look like the bad guy by laying off a bunch of employees on day 1. Assuming the sale is approved of course.
Thanks for the honest post. Your point is exactly why this sale occurred. Tommy and crew forgot what brought them to the table. Very sad. Hopefully store closure plan will be announced quickly. This is exactly why theft is an issue also. Time to go beyond the C. Thanks Tommy
My store is already working with a skeleton crew. Being pulled and letting a department empty so they can run register, line que, retrieve shopping carts, man the sidewalk sale. Many departments are working with one or two outfitters on the floor each day, sometimes even on weekends. The customers are definitely noticing the lack of help and the negativity in the air. The sales floor is a disaster, messy and empty racks and shelves. Crap left laying because customers don't want to wait in a long line. If layoffs happen, it will effect outfitters of course, but customers as well.
Tomorrow
I'm thinking within a week after the shareholders vote and finalize the sale.
Very soon. Tommy will hide now. They cannot prolong the bleeding with tanked sales
