KABC here in LA had a piece on layoffs in retail, there were some scenes from Kmart in Long Beach (Bellflower Blvd) - it was a brief piece but the store was empty, you could not see a single person there. So sad, and you can argue this or that but the cameras saw it all - it's bad.

I shopped on Saturday still Sears and there were times I was completely alone before a mall walker came through.
they MAY have filmed it prior to opening the doors
