I hear they are super smart, driving all decisions from sw to hw. I am scheduled for a phone interview and a bit anxious of what questions those great architects, luminaries of technology, will ask. Any thoughts?

Bunch of bozo's they know nothing. The real work and innovation gets done inside the product groups.
I would wait until about 6 months after the NXP acquisition if coming to Qualcomm as a new hire. Too much uncertainty unless you are willing to gamble with your career. If you skillset is desirable now it will still be desirable in 9 months....don't risk unless you are already very rich
Oooo, one of the weakest teams, with no clear charter. Most decisions done by design teams. Full of characters nobody really lustens to, the kind that laugh at their own jokes. Avoid.
Sweatshop.
Work nights and weekends.
Late night and early morning calls to BDC.
Slow advancement and promotions.
MSMs end up no better than Mediatek, Samsung and way behind Apple. The modem is Q's only differentiator.
Avoid.
There are better architects in the world.
If you know what a cache is, you'll be fine.
