Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

They were PUSHING the employees hard when this happened....

https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/schlumberger-oilfield-holdings-ltd-agrees-plead-guilty-and-pay-over-2327-million-violating-us

They did their very best the keep it quiet while doing the big push. How ethical is it to do these types of things overseas and would you want to work for them. I left the company on my own terms and found it shocking that they were forcing out people that were exceptional at what they did and keeping the ones that made MUCH MUCH less to compensate (this did not work)

My recommendations is if you work for SLB get out while you can....

That is 2 years old.

But SLB is global, so why would they not do work in certain countries?? Especially since Iran is not a terrorist country like Saudi Arabia. Most of the world terrorists come from SA and none come from Iran. If they do business with Saudi Arabia then who cares about any other country.

I think it is b---s--- they got fined for staying outside of the pointless politics of the US.

Let us remind ourselves of who was in charge of D&M when this happened

Onward and upwards for some.....

Old news we have the Transformation, Blue Print and NWW to prevent this happening now....

The industry will eventually find out what's left in this company is just a name and whole bunch mediocre and inferior employees with little experience, dedication and loyalty.

Just got to add that after today not only am i glad I do not work for SLB but goodness me am I glad I do not work for an American Company the culture is shocking.

Old news now but it does illustrated without any doubt what so ever what a bunch of sh--s SLB managers are. Never trust them. Like you I got out on my own terms and so glad I did the companies I have worked for since no one treated me the way that SLB management did shocking to say the least. Never mind I am happier now than I every was working for SLB.

As the saying goes you can take the ------ out of the slum but you can't take the slum out of the ------.
