A couple CW reqs were cancelled this week that I was expecting to be filled. There may be nothing more to this, other than a re-evaluation of the project needs. However, I'm wondering if anyone else has heard of CW reqs being cancelled this week (May 26)

Yes, our team had two head-count to fill but they've been frozen too (SSG).
No lateral internal changes either.
It's either pullback due to bad Qtr numbers or more cuts are coming.
If OP really calls the requisition of green badges "hiring", then he is in for a whole world of hurt in the next audit.
There is a finance new sheriff in town and he is trying to enforce some financial order.
Not just GB. Every hire, including lateral internal transfers are frozen. The only job changes happening are at the exec staff level. Those quarterly "realignment" on how the top management is rotating to bounty among themselves.
The few reqs in the internal job database are simply being recycled and reloaded by hiring managers. Even intern reqs are cancelled en masse.
From what I can observe, the company is at it's lowest ebb in it's 50 year existence.
May be they are locking people in their positions before gassing them.
