So sad to see this once great company go downhill so fast. I used to be so proud to work here. Now I'm embarrassed. No one cares anymore, even the management that is left just hides back in the offices. The new service managers can't even write a decent schedule so coverage is horrible in all departments. Most all the good experienced employees we had have quit or been fired to bring in lower wage workers. There is no incentive to sell credit, warranties, or anything. The only thing they are focused on is PSI and PSE leads. Why would any associate get leads, credit or anything with no commission or incentive? Brilliant idea. They advertise with all these great commercials showing lots of experienced associates ready to help you, but in real life customers come in all frustrated because there is hardly anyone to help them and when they do find someone it's a 18 year old kid that doesn't even know what duct tape is. It's like being on the Titanic watching it go down. Everything is broken. I have never seen things this bad.

Good post. You nailed it all: no coverage; getting rid of experienced employees for cheaper, younger, often dumb workers; terrible scheduling that shows terrible leadership;
I used to care, but now I do not...at all. It's amazing what the greedy corporate pigs have done to this company. I do the bare minimum unless someone asks me to help them. Sorry, but I've been passed over for FT by people that have to ask me how to do their job, a job that I already do. Why? Because I'm 58 years old and they're trying to weed out the older workers. The person who was hired over me is 19 years old and has zero experience in my area (plumbing). He actually sold someone the totally wrong item. And he interviewed better than me? No damn way...it's not possible. And I get along with customer really good.
Lowe's is a symbol of everything wrong with America. I can't wait to leave this hell hole of a job.
