Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Store manager threatening/harassment

Is your store manager able to tell you to go "outside" where there's no camera so they can have a conversation with you. Store manager and I got into an argument over the phone so he marched over and told me to "get outside so" he "could deal with" me... I told him I would be recording the conversation so he instead took it into an office?

Is this still grounds for some type of harassement so I can get his a-- for it?

Yes, it is. NEVER EVER go into a closed office with just you and your boss if you suspect they're trying to get information to save their a-- or fire you. NEVER. Tell him, like you did, that you are going to record it no matter where he/she tells you to go.

Secondly, contact the EEOC (The Equal Employment Opportunity Office) here: https://www.eeoc.gov/

They handle discrimination and harassment complaints. Don't let Lowe's bully you. At the store level, most of the managers aren't too smart, so take it to them legally. The only way to beat Lowe's is to hit them where it hurts these money grubbers - in the pocketbook.

Why would you stay in that place?? Sure you can find a better job. Walmart would be better.
