thanks op. worked with Rob 15 years ago. Thought the guy had talent but seemed to pick projects that had problems. What a collosal morass QChat turned out into. He knows how to pick em.
Our former QIS head, Rob, their US R&D head, is a part of the layoff. Their executives said sorry to their employees and hope them to remember "the finest hours they spent with the company".
I live two blocks from their building in north San Jose. At night, the office space appears to be completely open. Like, Apple Store open.
How can anyone work in that kind of distracting environment, especially if you came from Qualcomm?
