Coming here to discuss layoff rumors makes sense. Coming here to bloviate on a company being a leader in storage in a world of cloud or full vendor solutions is pointless. Storage is a commodity technology now. It will not solve a companies business problem. Companies are looking for full solutions that help them achieve their goals. Being a piece to a puzzle that companies don't want to build anymore is a long turn losing game. NetApp needs to be acquired to have any relevancy in 5 years.

I'll say it again. It must s--- to now be a Dell employee.
It must really s--- to work for Dell. Can you imagine being a lifer at EMC to wake up to the merger news of being acquired by one of the crappiest firm on the planet? Yeah, me neither. You couldn't pay me an infinite amount of money to work for them. Why? The only way they win is by bribing their customers. Cocaine, blo--obs and fringe benefits. How do I know? I was once a customer.
3 year technology ? You obviously are ignorant.. technology vs concept.. do you even understand the difference .. it takes years to build technology based on a concept and data fabric is a concept ...
Ignorant people like you will even call AI old technology and ML ancient .. go clean your brains off the rust it has gathered .
Yes. 3 year old technology that is STILL only focused on storage is totally the answer. Obviously the NetApp marketing department trolls this site.
You my friend must have never heard of the NetApp Data Fabric
I assume all those posts were in direct response to the influx of misinformation and sky-is-falling type posts being spread by what must be former employees who are still feeling the sting, or competitors looking to stir the pot.
3 points for "bloviate".
