Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

No other company inspires such animosity.

I have never seen any other public company inspire such animosity and lack of respect in its employees toward management, supervisors and even coworkers. After watching for years as a non-employee shareholder, it is obvious that there is too much wrong from the top down and apparently too little hope of recovery or improvement for me to stay in.

It IS ALL of Canonsburg! I worked there and left for greener pastures and a competitor. That office was a bunch of posers and insecure people who had no clue. They couldn't manage, they couldn't make smart decisions and they sure as heck could not work together.

You had the ego maniacs from Texas and West Virginia who thought they were something. It was and clearly still is a complete sh!t show. The canonsburg office is a big box of incompetence. Noble and the new outfit that bought them would be smart to fire them all and wipe the ledger clean.

The good ol' boy culture is dying a slow death, but it will come eventually. You can either accept that or go out kicking and screaming.

You don't know anything. In fact, you know less than nothing. If you knew that you knew nothing then that would be something, but you don't.

I am no one and I am everyone. We will see who gets offered to Houston or Parkersburg and who gets fired. You may think you know who I am, BUT I know who you are. It's not looking good for you I'm afraid. You are overpaid and not that important. Your peers have already stabbed you in the back and you are oblivious.

That's what the original poster meant. But this last comment borders on pure hatred which stems from the good old boys club. Another win for bad management and retention policies. The last poster is probably a jealous imp of a man-boy bested by a woman's job skills, ethics, and performance who won't work for anything but wants promotions and raises because he's a "man" and believes he is entitled. Pathetic person. I've got news for all you pathetic men who think like this. That good old boys club that used to run everything is dead. It's now the club for those who perform and you obviously cannot. Do your job. Lose the ego and sit down and shut up. I know who you are.

All Canonsburg hiring and assets were screwed up from the beginning and it won't be better in Houston. If you knew what you were doing and not lazy or up someone's rear end, you were marked for extinction. There are exactly three employees in all of Canonsburg who are any good and and they are all women and not in land or title or HR.

Noble truly is "broken". It was once one of the better companies in the industry. Moral is the worst I've ever seen. Nobody wants to work here any longer. I don't see this changing. It all comes from leadership... Or in Noble's case lack of leadership.

Agreed. The way people were treated in Canonsburg it's obvious this is not the same company as five years ago. A shame really. With the lack of diverse assets now (assuming that GOM is gone next) the company likely is not here for the long term.

You Canonsburg haters that frequent this website, take notice of the treatment we got. You might be next and it won't be so amusing then.
