Is the reasoning in the email yesterday legit or just fluff so others don't begin to panic? Seems the layoffs were not all centralized to just marketing and store support.

Do some research. It was on the front page of the Post Gazette. They lied about how much money they had made to investors. They had to cover their a--. So employees paid for it. No matter what the email said, it's b---s---. Everyone should be scared. You could be next. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if that company sinks. If they defrauded investors once, who could trust them?
If you think this was to protect the stores. Your dumber than I thought. Do you really believe the stores will see any inv in payroll

These lay offs were to protect hourly associates and their jobs. The amount of salaried employees in this company is ridiculous anyways. If you still have your job today I suggest you be happy and love on!
