So you have sick time and you use it and it's held against you, what a joke.
As the r2t4 calcs go undone due to vocado, process a, b, c and constant understaffing where is the department of ed?
What a joke UoP is....

Firing at UOP does not necessarily mean they deserved to be fired when dealing with UOP HR and management. I saw people with 10 years plus all of the sudden fired. No one could blame SRM or Vocado (computer) malfunctions with any validity. Some managers recognized that SRM would create hundreds of new cases as a malfunction and gave their advisers the benefit of the doubt. Other managers with orders to get rid of people used the SRM malfunctions to fire advisers for 'NOT keeping current'. SRM created cases for expired credit cards for students that had not attended in years. SRM created duplicate start date cases for class clearance and you would find they had already been cleared when you re-checked the case. Point being there was no consistency in how managers treated their employees. You could do the same thing on one team and it would not be an issue but do it on another team and you are doing to get fired. Manager discretion and discrimination. So if I heard someone was fired, I would take it with a grain of salt as to whether UOP had a valid case for termination or they were just downsizing and getting rid of higher paid and older employees, so they could re-hire at lower salaries. They could not see the difference in bringing in lower salaries and having to re-train in the middle of reorganization and computer system implementations. Check to see how many managers had any degrees in business or management or any experience in management. Some employees had 4 or 5 managers in 18 month periods. The new management is going to clean house just to make money on their buy-out deal. Some managers fired 3 or 4 advisers on their team in a 6 month period...is that the manager or the advisers problem or a plan to down-size? Some people get severance packages and some don't (discrimination perhaps?). Why not a standard severance package based on years of service? Why set yourself up for lawsuits? There has been no common sense thinking going on here for years; nothing involving integrity.
And let's be real, you didn't leave in 2016. You were fired.
You never worked here if you keep calling it "the financial aid department".
Sounds like the financial aid department is just as wonderful as it was when I left back in 2016. Most of the management and directors in financial aid are pure evil. There are only a few that actually care about their employees.
exactly. Not for bs
"You can use sick leave if you need to take time off from work due to your own mental or physical illness, injury or health condition, or to obtain medical diagnosis, treatment or preventive care. That includes doctor, dentist and eye doctor appointments". Thus, if you feel you are under stress, you can take a day as sick time.
Sick time is for sick not for bs. Just like fa is for school not rent
