So how many employees are left after all the big changes?

as deep as these cuts were, they still kept too many useless people in the Calgary office. Do we really needs all the PIMs? It will be five years before any future projects go ahead.
Nobody wants to be in Canada right now. The oil sands management ran that place into the ground with all there unnecessary bs.
That's what happens when your leadership team is a bunch of glorified operators who don't know anything.
Terrible ran asset. Had so much promise. It's obvious ConocoPhillips doesn't want this asset. Let's see who ends up picking it up. New leadership is what this place needs.
OS operations ain't conventional, hence the big field numbers. Personally, I don't think COP wants to be in Canada anymore. Just waiting for a reasonable offer, I bet. Might be a long wait.
800 seems high relative to worldwide workforce. Seems excessively high considering Surmont is non- commercial in this price environment. Calgary, how many are really required? Do think Canada will soon be removed from the COP empire. Going from Oh Canada to No Canada. It was once while it lasted.
I'd guess close to 450 in Calgary, 350 at Surmont
What was the head count before the fist round of layoffs?
How many in the Calgary office? As per the previous post, if true must be including field staff.
Around 850
