I was laid off last Friday. I am not bitter and I was ready to move on.
State Farm took good care of me, I was given 12 months of severance payments and I was paid 5 months of vacation.
If you compare this to what most other companies do nowadays (e.g., 2 weeks severance or no severance at all) - I would venture to say that SF is a great company...
