Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Layoffs coming at Landmark

Most of our big clients are threatening to dump us and go to Petrel. Management is in panic mode and everyone is scrambling to cover their asses.

Word is middle management and lower are going to get blamed and shown the door.

Typical!

another layoff is coming in Landmark very soon, big bosses are saving their positions but they are not saving the PSL

Well, it's definitely not MY fault, or management's fault either. We don't do anything, so why should we shoulder the burden of any of this catastrophe. You created it, and now you want us to clean it up? No way Jim Wayne.

They need to cut rates and prices to be more competitive, this crazy vertical organization does not work anymore, it is vert expensive and disfunctional. Landmark has a wrong market perspective of the O&G industry today.

and why shouldn't they go elsewhere? that is what competition is all about. Don't like it ? Build a better mousetrap! Give the market what it really needs! Orrrrrrr, cut your prices, offer deep discounts, layoff 30,000 headcount, give your competition 3.5 billion dollars and sit back and enjoy a job well done.

what do you expect when you have supply chain people running an O&G software company and a bean counter running HAL.

Landmark is cronyism on steroids. They tried to replace the vintage TOW c/s production allocation application with a crap called DSPA through Petris acquisition. None of the TOW customers would even look at it after a first glimpse (or asks for a refund after trying hard to make it work). But all the experienced TOW guys were fired; replaced by Petris gang to support TOW!!. The architect and the development manager of the product from Petris are top man's country chums; they do nothing other than picking up the next man to be kicked out. What went behind this acquisition?

It is time for a regime change. They have already cut their experienced people at all levels. The current mid level management is a bunch of idiots.

It is time to get rid of the people responsible for making these stupid decisions.

The problem that they created by laying off the experience, is beginning to show.

Hal has a long way to go, I doubt they will ever get back to where they once were.

HAL belong in the scrap yard. It's game over as they can't compete anymore.

It's no secret at HAL that Landmark is the worst run PSL in the whole organization and has been for years.

And that's saying a lot!
