With the current assets sales underway and now with additional asset sales being offered it appears that North American operation are shrinking significantly. We were told to expect up to 300 to be laid off earlier but now it is looking like more if the additional assets sales are completed. On top of all this we hear about plans to do away with duplicate finance services, corporate restructuring, and centralization to Houston. Does anyone know anything about timing of Bartlesville layoffs and how many will be transferred?

Bartlesville Layoffs and Closure timing.
October 2017 first wave of layoffs, March 2018 second wave, June 2018 final wave and closure.
About Time for the 500 layoff to the Houston Chamber. I mean it is the 4th largest city in the US.
So they should be able to get cheaper labor than all of the high paid Houston Slackers
Y'all have to let it go or it'll eat you alive. If you remember that most of the leadership are just politicians who care about nothing but preserving their perks, jobs, and fat paychecks, it helps. You can also dismiss a lot of their speeches and behaviors as resulting from personality disorders. Not making this up. They're much more likely to suffer from these types of mental issues.
Someone previously posted they start in October 2017 with closure of Bartlesville
In June 2018, not sure if true but at this point makes sense. I agree they probably will not offer a good relocation package
For the ones left next June. Has anyone else
Heard this rumor?
Just another "Hi-Pot" type response. Don't forget, he was likely once identified as a "hi-pot" and trained up in smoke and mirrors tactics to save his skin too.
Don't forget continual asset sales leading to declining reserves and production. Yeah, we're growing by leaps and bounds.
Ryan Lance's "Mythbuster" segment... "It's a myth that the company is shrinking. We are not shrinking."
Well, revenue down by 2/3's since the split, reserves down by 1/3 from our E&P peak, employee headcount down by 1/3, and we haven't made a profit in >2 years.
It sure feels like shrinking down here, Mr. Lance.
Has anybody heard of being given the opportunity to transfer at your own expense?
I really can't see the company laying out a lot of money for moving expenses....They will probably just hire locally if needed...last time I checked Houston was the 4th largest city in the nation
it's usually a week or two before Christmas
