Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Once and for all when do we get some reward from a company that drain the working family man

Well I cannot believe how people and family's work hard in life to get some where in life but it gets harder.

Being away a lot offshore missing my loved ones and hearing the comments on this Web page it hurts when working hard to make a livimg all we get is hurt from halliburton as a whole 14 years last 6 years no pay rises only cuts on benefits and all the rest it's about time that this company took on board the working man's concerns what makes it even more hurtfull having to do 3 weeks in houston no pay and having to live on $40 per day what a joke I would like to work for a company that care about working but that shall never be the case.

The greed of Dave lesser and his side kicks

Right on, and I believe, that is exactly what will be taking place soon!!!!

The next round of layoffs will be directly related to the lack of productivity.

Everywhere you go, employees are disgusted with the management, or lack thereof.

There are no mid management leadership employees left, they were all let go. No we have these, I don't know exactly what they are, but they are not leaders.

Anyway, I feel that in the next year, they are going to have more massive layoffs.

And, if "Enron Dave" remains at the helm, this is going to sing and land right next to Enron!!!!

Just sayin!!!!!!!

unless perhaps the investors begin to worry that the large numbers of worker bees are so comsumed with contempt for current management that productivity is impacted to the point that share prices and earnings are crippled, but nah that'll never happen.

Vp Toby Dixon you fail your uk offshore work force I suppose you're like the other managers based in uk.

Never have I worked for a company that put little investment into the PSL along with your cheap labour methods ie operator assistant and all the rest it's what we call in Scotland shocking and shameful guys offshore only get told do this do that I speaking about training that does nothing at all common sense is the useful tool.

No pay rises after 6 years all the sh--e focal point ppr bull sh--e it's about time you and the rest where listening to your work force offshore once and for all.

People work hard and get nothing go away over Xmas / new year and of course it's the only company that don't give extra payments.i am not the only 1 that is pissed of not only with upper management but you as a so called vp that fails listening to your workets

We aren't living in the dark ages so why don't management just deal with this instead of hoping someone else will see to it. The problem is incompetent managers.

People in HAL wouldn't understand what an ethics hotline is.

I know of at least 1 oil service company that offers an ethics hotline to try to maintain proper standards and behaviour. Maybe HAL does something similar.

Why should people have to quit there jobs when you work hard offshore and deserve better.

In the uk we could do with an undercover boss just like tv and see the attitude from some of these managers in abz that have a threat to the working man.

Don't speak out as you shall be punished by not getting offshore days

HAL offered you the lowest of the low offer cuz that's what you are worth to them and if you turned it down then they obviously couldn't care less. No sense in dressing yourself up as lamb when you are discarded fat.

Just quit and find another job? Sounds like a true moron! Who in their right mind is looking for a new job in this market with that much time invested in a company. I was laid off buy Halliburton over a year ago manage to get a job back in my whole career making good money. I did keep applying trying to get back with Halliburton. After over a year I finally got an job offer to come back and it was the lowest of low-ball offers I could ever imagine. Needless to say I'm done with the oil industry staying where I should have stayed making good money with excellent job security, something I would never have in the oil industry.

I agree with my colleagues comments work hard with no rewards at all for the working class.i understand also how some of the uk managers also act for 1 instance I was informed to go away to training in the states with no pay for 3 weeks so told my manager I was not happy about this but no give aways from him so my punishment from him was to keep me at home for 8 weeks not giving me offshore days.

What needs to happen to threats is remove them immediately 83

This is what happens when you have incompetent management they only interested in themselves and not you. Oilfield is full of clowns like this. Best thing is to quit if you can get a better job.

You are right, it is a free country. The guy has a right to voice his displeasure. Maybe if more of you would grow a pair and followed his lead there may be some changes.
