I do not understand this company!!! I would think with all the turnover in the stores from SM's down, they would try to retain the best associates. last year, learning and development laid out a brand new training pieces for new hires. it designed to have new hires learn about the store through a scavenger hunt and then on the second day of training, new hires were to meet their SM and shadow on the floor.
if you haven't seen the training packet or folder, you would be shocked. i can NOT imagine how much the folders cost only to be disposed of by new hires. it is incredible. earlier in the year, they made new packets for 2017 and told us to dispose of the old one. i can only imagine the amount of money wasted. is why there were cuts in L and D in January?
yes, the company needs to invest in their people, but many SA don't stay long enough. for the little pay they receive they must do so many things. crazy!!! i can't even imagine working on the floor. it is too hard. i would quit also.
going forward the hrm's-and who knows how long they will be around- are suppose to work with the SM's on the people piece and not the admin. AST should be handling all the admin. but will there be enough in AST for that going forward??
to be honest, i have read many of the posts and i see what i see in the stores, sadly, i finally see a slow sinking ship. i am not sure the company can stop the slow leak.
