Anadarko buying Noble would be like throwing a drowning man a rock, send em straight to the bottom. There's absolutely no value here. Still it would be sweet. Noble field hands MIGHT survive, but Just about everyone else would be toast. After the blood bath, and it would be a blood bath, Anadarko would move the few lucky (?) survivors over to The Woodlands and sell off the Noble basketball court et al. As for severance don't count on much. The Anadarko people have been quite vocal about how bad their severance packages have been. Good luck with this one.

Yes, they have. Same unsubstantiated rumor with general agreement it's an unlikely outcome. Many comments on how bad a deal it would be for Anadarko. If by some rare chance it actually happened it would be a death sentence for nearly every Noble employee's job in Houston.
Anyone look to see if Anadarko is posting their predictions about a Noble buy out? Whatever will happen is already set in motion, Denver is already singing the blues cause the writing is on the wall for them: Houston or Greeley or GTFO.
