Rumor: I heard Walmart bought a bunch of Lowe's stock? Any truth in this?

This was a huge rumor about a decade ago. I don't know if they ever held any significant stock.
Any large stock purchases by companies have to be disclosed. You can look up which banks, 401k companies and private purchases of stock for any company.
I'd say false.
If you search for info on Walmart acquisition's you'll see that there are rumors about them buying every single company in the world - including Home Depot.
It's important to delineate between rumors and credible info, this is all what it is: A RUMOR
