Thread regarding Advance Auto Parts Inc. layoffs

Delaware D.C.

In the Delaware, Ohio distribution center they terminatated the position of 6 managers positions. 5 of which yes i would hate to see go, but one in particular makes me sick due to how much this specific manager did for the company. 24 years of service yet you have operation managers that still have a job but can't do what's in front of them but making every employee in the warehouse miserable due to that one specific manager.

Leadership and culture starts at the top, and knowing who the GM in Delaware is, initials being JR I'm not surprised by the comments here. When he was an RVP and traveling he would tell us how long leases were on the buildings etc which lead us to believe we had job security for years. Thanks for misleading us JR. There is so much more I could say about that man but he's not worth the time.

I agree that AAP truly only cares numbers. Cost Per Piece, and production are drilled in your head. Work too many hours for crappy benefits and NO recognition. Pass a milestone like 10 years and get NOTHING, no card, no email, no congratulations at all. Worst culture I have seen in a company. And like I said, culture starts at the top. Incompetence at it's finest is what I saw. Since leaving Advance I haven't been happier. Hope their plan at making the company an attractive purchase for someone fails.

I think often the managers forget where they come from and often forget that it is the team whom represent their paychecks at the end of the day. At Advance Auto Parts DC 23 they have a select few whom represent just that and one in particular that continues to make you feel like not only is he undressing you with his eyes while speaking to you , but he is very dishonest and disrespectful to ALL of his team and more. You would have to be totally blind not to see that . However, Advance continues to keep this kind of sick man employed. Someday he will answer for his actions to God And when that day comes .. I pray he burns for all the things he has done to so many Innocent and wonderful human beings.!

Worst upper management team the Delaware DC has ever had - - - -

and the two worst operations managers - The team managers are the ones that run the building. 24 years experience and dedication and was treated terribly. BIG BIG Mistake !!!

Best team managers ever and cared for her team. They actually let a person that has the worst reputation in the DC and is way to close to the operations managers (for reasons in which the entire DC knows) run her department since her exit. She is too good for this place. We all wish her the best of luck. She will come out on top just like she always did because of her strong values.

All being dictated by a hedge fund guru and cronies now on the board. This isn't the first company they infiltrated, got loads of money and then cut out on. Articles all over the net about this guy.

Please do not use names or personal information. The board is moderated and they deleted several posts and replies so far. Happened to me, my long post was gone and I did not save it, it took me 20 min to write that thing on my phone. I wrote them and they pointed to the rules. They blocked me from posting and I asked if I can be reinstated as I did not. Anyhow, no foul language or personal info.

Advance only cares about profit not employees. They have screwed up and aren't making enough money, so the cut costs by laying off good employees!
