Good post - reposting from @NUs4ICx-naz - I did not write this but I thought it was very thoughtful:
Cams were redundant, asset protection was never present in the stores unless something big was happening, and some districts needed to be realigned.
As far as HR? I luckily only had to call them once, and they had to call me back because the first person I spoke to didn't know how to answer my question.
As a frontline team member I am not worried. It s---s to hear that some respected leaders were cut loose. But the free market dictates what is, and is not, necessary. AKA the bottomline. Hate it, love it, or otherwise, it falls on us. If you can't stomach that fact then you need to get a government job.
If you are sad that your DM or CAM or whoever got laid off, remember that even though they get paid orders of magnitude more than us, if you had truly wanted them to stick around, you would have tried harder to increase your SPH and add ons. I remember on starting line when they pointed out that if every store had sold 2 more project packs per day we would have increased our profits by more than 1 million. If we had increased the company profit by that much it is possible there would have been more money left over for payroll to keep our favorite leaders on the books, so to speak.
I puke having to write that paragraph, but I never, nor will I ever, dispute statements of fact.
