HI I work in the Miami market and with all the layoffs and hrs cut they are still hiring newith GM's and if you look at the store Web page it show's new GMS being hired company wide. Another thing is the hrs cut from the stores is how they going to serve those customers without pissing people off and customers walking out.
If you're at AAP just for a job, the layoffs should not be a big deal. However, if this is your career choice.....GET OUT! There are better companies to work for wothout the stress of losing you livelihood and impacting your family if you have one. Decisions at AAP seemed to be based on which way the wind is blowing.
Start looking, make a choice, and leave on your own terms. Not on the terms of those making knee-jerk reactions based on the demands of the board of directors.
Our company is falling apart ever since they sold out to carquest and stock holders. One gimmick after another, just like one ceo after another.. they might as well shut the doors cuz no one on top has a damn clue how to run an auto parts store and its very clear by the way they have ruined the top dog in the nation

No sure what's going on here, many of the general wear house workers are very concerned. They are being told many different things.
