Not surprised that RBC is letting go of more workers rather than fixing its management issues.
Management at the bank never really cared about having their workers better themselves professionally, or heavens forbid think for themselves. At least it was like this while I worked there, I doubt it has changed. There were more Bigfoot sightings than career advancement opportunities, especially at middle management level. Not to mention that the main reason business is failing is the fact that senior management lacks both leadership skills and appropriate know-how to run a bank.
I hope things turn around soon for the employees' sake, but I doubt it, and I would not be surprised at more layoffs down the road.
