Heard a rumor that there will be layoffs this Friday, anyone else heard that?? If your manager has been distant lately you might be on the chopping block.

Has anyone heard how this layoff will be conducted? Are people going to be walked out, given a 30, 60, 90 day buffer to look for a job?
Does Cristina Sc**t still work there? She used to be able to give us the headcounts and timings and when and where it would happen. Once she had an excel spreadsheet listing everyone affected. See if she has one for this year. I miss her!

AS death march has begun. Sources say it will start after July 4 most likely on a Friday. I think unless you're in AS then we may get lucky.
Received notice last Thursday (6/22) that my position had been eliminated. Manager had become distant for the past few weeks and I guess that why, she had a secret. I initially wanted to stay and make it a career, but after seeing how they operate... Just give me my severance and I'll move on.
One person I know of, Friday was her last day, she had been with Sabre for 40 years.
She was asked if she was in the room during the town hall on Tuesday.
She obviously was not in the room, because she had been laid off 5 days earlier.
That is gratitude for her dedication.

If merits are pushed out only instead of cancellation it is not quite bad. It will allow to save millions of $$$ and maybe help to survive. Keep fingers crossed.
Something is going down for sure. The Merit cycle was pushed out over a month. Between now and August heads could roll.
Maybe "this Friday" was not THIS ONE, maybe "something" will happen on June 30th...
